At the Institute of Private Practising Psychologists, we are committed to providing valuable opportunities for professional development and networking. Our events are designed to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among members and the wider community. Whether you’re a member or just exploring our offerings, we welcome you to participate in our events.
Professional Development:
There is often little formal business training, skills development and knowledge building incorporated into formal psychology training pathways. Our professional development programme is designed to assist the process of developing these skills and knowledge.
The proposed programme for 2026 includes hybrid (face to face and virtual) workshops on the following topics:
Peer Support:
Running a private practice can be a very isolating experience particularly in solo or very small practices. Having support is critical for self care and we regard peer support as very important to manage the private practice experience.
Peer support sessions in which any issue (clinical or business) can be discussed (both face to face and virtually) are held monthly.
In addition, social activities are also arranged for those who are interested.
You don’t have to manage alone.
